Privacy policy

This is a plain-language draft and has not yet been reviewed by an attorney.

What we collect

Housing requests and the waitlist: your contact details, preferred locations, move-in timing, budget, occupants, home and parking needs, optional details about your work or purpose of stay, and anything you write about your ideal home.

Contact and lodge interest forms: your name, email, optional phone number and message.

We don't ask for Social Security numbers, credit information or criminal history in housing requests. Please don't send them.

How we use it

To review your housing request, match it to suitable available or future homes, contact you, and manage leasing. We don't sell your information.

Accessibility and accommodation information

Anything you share about accessibility needs or accommodation requests is used only to respond to that need, and is shared only with staff who need it.

Formal applications and screening

If you're invited to apply, screening is done by a third-party screening provider with your written authorization. That provider's own privacy terms apply. Screening results are available only to authorized management staff.

Who we share it with

Service providers that help us run BookingKY, such as our form, email, screening, e-signature and payment providers, only as needed to provide their service. We may also disclose information when the law requires it.

Payments

BookingKY never stores payment card numbers. Payments are handled by a secure, PCI-compliant payment provider.

Analytics

If enabled, we use Google Analytics to understand in aggregate how visitors use the site. We don't send form contents or personal details to analytics.

How long we keep it

Proposed: we keep housing and waitlist requests for up to 12 months, then delete them or ask whether you'd like to remain on the waitlist. Lease and tenant records are kept as long as the law requires.

To update, withdraw or delete a housing request, or to leave the waitlist, email hello@bookingky.com.
